Hunger Heroes

Louisiana Anti-Hunger Coalition is developing Hunger Heroes Grassroots Advocacy Group. The group's primary objectives are to:

Engage with legislators to advocate for sustainable solutions to food insecurity statewide

Provide critical insights to lawmakers, helping them understand the unique hunger challenges and available resources in Louisiana's communities

Participate in legislative sessions, offering testimony or support on hunger-related bills to drive impactful change

This grassroots coalition will play a vital role in bridging the gap between policymakers and the communities they serve, ensuring that anti-hunger efforts are informed by those with lived experience.

This group will include three representatives from each of Louisiana's seven regions—Northwest Louisiana, Northeast Louisiana, Central Louisiana, Greater Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, and Lake Charles—for a total of 21 members.
